Chinese Money Plant (Pilea peperomioides)
The round, coin-like leaves are what gives the Chinese Money Plant its name. Native to the Yunnan province of China, these plants have become increasingly popular in the last few years. As cute, easy to look after and self-propagating plants, it's not hard to see why!
Money plants like plenty of bright, but indirect light. As they grow towards the light, rotate them once a week to keep them growing evenly. Avoid overwatering your money plant, and only give it water once the soil has dried out (average once a week in summer, and less frequently in winter). The money plant is also called the 'friendship plant', as it will grow little plantlets in the soil, which you can remove and repot and give as gifts!
